Message: Nice county owned campground. We stayed 3 week days in October only a few campers were there. There's only 4 or 5 full hookup sites.

Message: Beautiful county park on Pickeral Lake. Nice, family friendly trails throughout park. Bathhouse in New section is great because it is newer. Staff maintains park well and they are friendly and helpful. Campsites have rustic separation which is nice. All sites have fire ring and picnic table, water and electric. Dump station available also.

Message: Great campground. Staff is awesome, the place is immaculately clean, updated and very park like through the campground but still retains the middle of the woods feel. Campsites are spacious and all sights are free of litter with modern fire pits. Great for couples for a quiet weekend or for the whole family.

Message: Very nice, very wooded. Large lots, water and electric on most lots. Five lots have full hookup. Gives you the up north feel. Relatively quiet, as well. Campground has access to Pickerel Lake, which connects to Crooked Lake; which is the start of the inland waterway. You can anchor your boat near the beach and then drive it all the way to lake Huron. It's about a 7-hour trip one way.

Message: We love coming to Pet-O-Sega. It is a great getaway with lots of outdoor activities to do. It is relaxing and very spacious. Not camping on top of one another.. Our only complaint is the speed limit is 5 mph within the campground and no one follows it. We have almost been hit while walking our dogs by individuals driving too fast through the campground. So just make sure you are aware of that. I wish they would enforce it better. Or people were just more respectful of it. Children do ride bikes on the drive.

Message: Love the fact it is not a packed campground. Good spaces and trees between the spots. Several playgrounds with swings etc. Trails to walk on and lake access - dog friendly- waterfountains and a dump site if you aren't at a full hookup. Only downside is some of the back roads to get there are pretty beat up. Try to stay on 131 or 75 longer to avoid the dirt roads!

Message: This is a wonderful campground very close to Petoskey. Very private and lots of green space. We stayed on the new loop near new bath house (2020). Wow nicest bath house I have ever seen! Highly recommend the new loop for big rigs (we has site 55 and our 25 ft toy hauler had lots of room). The lake is beautiful and very quiet. The staff is friendly and helpful. A 5 star place for sure!
